Ariana Grande tends to tell it like it is, so when she was asked about the meaning of her song ‘Side to Side,’ she did not censor herself.
When it comes to Ariana’s latest single, ‘Side to Side,’ with Nicki Minaj, there has been some misunderstanding as to what the singer was singing about. So, when she was asked to explain the meaning of the song on the VMAs carpet on Sunday, Ari hinted that the song is basically about…ah I’ll let her tell you herself.
Yeah, it gives a whole new meaning to riding, right? And it totally explains why she was riding a stationary bike on stage and in her music video. Anyway, even though Ariana alluded to the meaning of the song on Sunday, it wasn’t until Lena Dunham outright tweeted QUOTE, ‘Jack just explained that the song Side to Side is about getting railed so hard you can’t walk. SO MANY EMOTIONZ,’ that Ari confirmed it all.
Aside from confirming the underlying dirty meaning of ‘Side to Side’ to the world, Ariana also made sure to let everyone know that she doesn’t give a flying f—k about what others are saying about her signature ponytail.
The singer talked to Byrdie about beauty advice for her fans – which is to be yourself and not listen to any trends – before basically going off on those who hate on her ponytail. Ari said to all the haters out there QUOTE, “Sh-t, you don’t like my ponytail? I’m gonna have it two times bigger tomorrow, and higher, tighter, more hair in there too. Sh-t, I’ll crimp it. You ain’t seen a crimp like this in 20 years!” You tell ‘em, Ari!
