The world may have been speechless yesterday, but leave it to the ex to have the last word.
Whether you’ve rooted for them from the beginning as Mr. and Mrs. Smith, or you could never really get over the Braniston breakup, the past 24 hours have been a sheer virtual madhouse to say the least. Rumors have been bombarding our feeds from alleged mistresses to Brad’s questionable disciplinary tactics when it comes to the ex-couple’s six children, but what the Internet has been eagerly waiting for for quite some time has been the reaction of one such person.
Although Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston is not active on any social media site, denying us the luxury of seeing any sort of subtle like or subtweet, sources from Us Weekly revealed that she has reacted to the news with a simple but scathing five words: “Yeah, that’s karma for you!”
The source goes on to say that QUOTE, “She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually. She didn't feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He's a pretty simple guy.”
But Jen’s alleged response wasn’t all shade, as the source added that she wishes Brad all the best and that, “She feels like she's happy, and she wants him to be happy too. Jen does not hold on to any negativity from her marriage to Brad.”
Oh, but the Internet sure DOES. News of the divorce has since opened a can of worms to the Jennifer Aniston/Rachel Green memes, and I gotta say, things got pretty crafty.
Many fans took scenes from Jen’s iconic role in Friends when some users quoted GIFs of this scene following the quote, “Angelina and Brad: Divorce, Jennifer Aniston:…….”
Another user attached a plethora of photos of Jen in a cheerleading uniform, along with a gigantic grin on her face, writing, “First images of Jennifer Aniston after the news of Brad’s divorce” and others decided to channel T-Swift, writing “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative” – Jennifer Aniston, probably.”
Many other memes surfaced via Twitter, like this one writing, “Angelina: during the divorce proceedings brad and i ask that u respect our privacy. thank you. And Jen: (with an attached photo of her holding up a camera phone and that million dollar smile.
Jen’s now-husband Justin Theroux, also made his way into the meme madness, when photos of the couple surfaced with captions like, “TRUST ME JENNIFER ANISTON WAS FINE LOOOONG AGO”. And I’ve gotta agree, the girl’s done GOOD.
But if you did your fair share of digging around yesterday, you’ve probably encountered hundreds of other memes, so right now I want to know what you guys think of Jen’s rumored response and which meme really got you goin’ so get to talking right down here in the comments section, and after that, you can click right over here to see what Brad had to say following the divorce filing. Thanks for checking in with me here on Clevver news, and hang in there guys, REAL LOVE STILL EXISTS.
